CHINA: Baishuijian: scenic area, waterfall, and rural village

Our most recent trips have been focusing on our local areas, so during our last journey, we stayed within the Hangzhou city (杭州市) boundary and went to Lin'an county (临安) where we visited Baishuijian (白水涧) village. The scenic area here is famous for its waterfall, and we were really pleased to visit this place during the Chinese Spring Festival (on the 10th February 2022 to be exact), because we met only four people. during the whole time we spent there. Actually and more precisely, we saw only four people here. So, we rightly felt that the entire place was only for us.

The ticket was 134 RMB for two of us which may sound a little bit expensive when you see the infrastructure of the park. Everything looks old and used, the first thought you have is that this place needs a serious upgrade. Beside the waterfall, there is not much else to see or do either. So, where does the money go?

I still do not want to undermine our own experience as we had a great time here. That is maybe because previously we had been having rain and cold for three weeks solid, so getting out finally made a massive difference. But I think, this scenic area, the beautiful waterfall and its natural setting is still worth paying a visit. Have a look at our photos and see it yourself.
