ENGLAND: Shifnal, a tiny market town
Written by Laszlo, 21 December 2018
Katie and I have been working hard over the last months, so we have not had much time to do sign-hunting together for a while. I have also been struggling to pull together more posts, but hey, this is just life. If it does not work, then you need to give yourself a break.
A few days ago, however, we decided to get out of the house, got on the train and went to Shifnal, which is only a few miles from Telford. Despite how near it was to us, we had never really been there before, so it was a great opportunity for us to explore it a little bit.
Shifnal is a relatively small market town in East Shropshire with a population around 7,000. According to some statistics, due to the on-going housing developments, its population is on the rise and it is expected to pass 10,000 by 2020.
Despite how small it is, there are many nice buildings. But due the winter month and thus becoming dark early, we could not explore every corner of it, but what we could, we tried to capture it in the below photos. Have a look at this selection!
