HUNGARY: One of Lake Balaton's most beautiful villages: Balatongyörök

Balatongyörök is a relatively small village that lies on the Northwestern shores of Lake Balaton between Keszthely and Szigliget. Its permanent total population is just over 1000 people, during the Summer months, however, it attracts many visitors and seasonal residents. It is popular among tourists as it is a small, beautiful and peaceful location.

Since my father runs a small restaurant here, we visit this pretty village very often, at least once a year in the Summer months. We made a little video of the beach and my father's eatery last year - check it out by following the link here.

Over the last decade, we have taken many photos here, but they are not truly in any particular theme or order. When we returned this July, I decided to capture the village as thoroughly as possible and share some of these photos with you. In this blog entry here, therefore, you can find a good selection of pictures, but once again, this blog entry will remain open for future updates.
