WALES: Where the train line ends: Pwllheli

The last five days were spent in Northwest Wales, in the Talsarnau-Llandecwyn area where Katie's nan has a caravan. It is the area where we pop up every now and then, and then we do lots of walks and explorations. We love it here a lot, we are even planning to stay here for a longer period of time like months or even a year. This may be successful at some point in the future. Now we just come and go and enjoy the beauty that this part of Wales can offer to us.
On Monday the 22nd October, we had a day out in Pwllheli which we had never visited before. You might have heard about it as this is the place where the Cambrian Coast Railway terminates which had been operated by Arriva Trains Wales for 15 years which has just recently been (on the 14th October) replaced by Transport for Wales. It is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd. The population here is around 4,000.
Despite there being not much to see in Pwllheli, the day turned out pretty awesome. It was a fantastic day, nice and sunny, and we really squeezed a lot into the day: checked out the town centre, walked in the countryside to Efailnewydd and back, walked a hill up to Pen-y-Garn where there is a fantastic panoramic viewpoint, had a veggie burger in a fancy (and expensive) local chippy, and walked down to the beach where we were skimming rocks.
